Inappropriate speech content

Based on some of the speeches I have heard at the past couple tournaments, I wanted to express my concern about the content of student speeches. According to the judges' manual, it is the responsibility of the coach to monitor their students' speeches and to ensure that all content is appropriate.
While I realize that people have different opinions on what is appropriate, there are some things that certainly cross the line that I have heard in the past couple weeks. Profanity, drug references, and excessive sexual references are simply not appropriate. We need to remember that these are high school students at an educational activity, and we should not be promoting or even condoning offensive or potentially offensive content.
"Each coach is reminded to select literature that will not offend the moral standards of the community or be in bad taste. It is advisable to eliminate all cursing, profane references to the deity, and immorally suggestive comments."
