The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and proudly announce the return of the Cornhusker Summer Forensics Institute. The dates for this year's speech camp are 15th of the July through the 19th. Campers will arrive on the evening of Wednesday the 15th and leave the afternoon of Sunday the 19th.
This year's speech camp will feature sessions on Humorous Interpretation, Extemporaneous Speaking, Dramatic Interpretation, Oratory, Poetry, Duo Interpretation, Informative speaking. This year we will also be offering for the first time sessions in in Policy debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, and Public Forum.
Students of all abilities and levels of experience are welcome.
The cost the Speech camp will be $400 which will include:
- Four nights of stay at one of the university's air conditioned dorm rooms
- Three meals a day for each full day of the camp
- Four days of instruction and practice from top flight councilors including former national and state champions
- Computers available for all students for word processing and research
- Access to the University of Nebraska's Love Library
- Access to University of Nebraska-Lincoln's extensive collection of plays and literature
- A variety of handouts and tips that students can take back to their teams and coaches
- One on one coaching and group sessions with our coaching staff, featuring some of the best high
school and college coaches in the nation.
- Scholarships based on financial need available
Friday the 17th of July will feature a special coach's day. Coaches will be allowed to attend instructional sessions with their students as well as special "coaches only" sessions. Coaches attending will also be provided with lunch for the day as well as variety of handouts.
