Aila Ganic

Lincoln Southwest

Aila Ganic will be a freshman at the University of NE-Lincoln this fall, majoring in Political Science and Global Studies. She hopes to have a career dealing with human rights and social justice, areas of passion which stemmed from growing up in a refugee family and from her volunteer work at Lincoln Literacy. There she helped teach refugee and immigrant children how to read and write in English. Aila will also continue her involvement in the speech community by competing for the UNL speech team.
